Agriculture and Horticulture

  • Home to Bundaberg Sugar, the region is one of the largest sugar producers in Queensland, accounting for around 20% of the State’s sugar production

  • Renowned for the quality of its produce, the region’s fruit and vegetable industry was valued at $190 million in 2001 and is one of the largest employers in the region

Fishing and Aquaculture

  • The Wide Bay TAFE Fishing and Marine Training Centre is based at the Port of Bundaberg. This centre delivers a range of training and educational courses relative to the marine industry
